I am sorry as I really wanted to like this place. First sign was that all I SAW was him placing every item in the microwave. Right in front of us. One after another including the meats and sides. I would go over every item but considering they were microwaved what's the point? it did appear they used to be amazing but my guess is they lost the passion.

This barbecue place reminds me of barbecue from rural Alabama.... freaking delicious. Super authentic, very small eating area, this place is probably best enjoyed as take out. The sauce is smoky and slightly spicy, and totally addicting. The prices are totally reasonable you can feed a family of three dinner for less than 25 bucks.

Still good. When I get a craving for great ‘cue this has been my go-to stop for many years. It is nothing to look at, a near-literal “hole in the wall”, but the food is what Barbecue means to me. This is old style Daddy Bruce kind of food like you get in the really deep south, west and south of the Carolinas. If your definition is the Carolina version, this is not it. Ribs are the big meaty ones, not those namby-pamby baby backs many people mistake for barbecue. Brisket is perfectly smoked, perfectly inconsistent from one animal to another, sometimes little fat sometimes more fat. This is as it should be. They smoke on site in an old properly seasoned smoker out back. The sauce is the Daddy Bruce recipe, not too sweet, not too tart, not like anything I can find in stores. My spouse loves their beans, I love the slaw. Neither of us are fans of the links. I have found the staff to be friendly, though I think it helps that they know me by now and I always leave a tip. I do takeout every time. It just makes sense. BBQ can be hit or miss, and they are no exception, so I get the bad reviews from single visits. I recommend you give them another chance.

Husband thinks this is some of the best smoked meat around. Looks to be a small, family operation worthy of support.

As a vegetarian their salads are amazing as well as their corn on the cob. Their ribs are delicious and well cooked, the bbq sauce is amazing. I had a great experience and would come back every chance I got.
